Ever since Meghan Markle stepped into the royal waters, she has had to sacrifice a lot to look forward to a life with Prince Harry. Starting from her career to basic side hobbies, she had to give up everything in order to get the approval of the ‘The Firm’. However, she was not the only one facing blatant criticism from all sides. Owing to her native roots, her entire family was once in the grip of trenchant controversies including her mother, Doria Ragland.

Apart from belonging to a family of color, there were plenty of other things that Meghan Markle and the next of her kin had to worry about. Her mother, especially, spoke her heart out about everything that has been going on ever since the fallout. It included how the last five years had been “challenging” for them to keep up with everything. Nonetheless, it seems as if the haters were still not done.

Meghan Markle despisers call Doria Ragland a jail convict, supporters answer back 

After abusing Ragland, 66, for her black root, the cynic crowd has accused her of being a jail convict. Meghan Markle spent a disturbed childhood struggling with separated parents. Many also believe that she was brought up on her own as her mother was a prisoner for years. Nonetheless, everyone is yet to know the full truth. The accusations were not completely false either as someone with the same name as Ragland was convicted in prison for years.

Skeptical Twitterati has confused the criminal with Markle’s mother and supporters of the family can keep calm no more. A journalist recently to Twitter to lay bare the real facts amidst the chaos. Lorraine King did not hesitate to mention that just because they are black does not mean they look the same.  “Meghan’s mum is not a convicted drug dealer who went to jail – she’s a social worker,” she wrote.

The entire thread was all about supporters of the clan taking down the false allegations about the Duchess’ mother. According to another tweet, the bitter struggle marked by calumny and litigation was led by Royal Commentator Tom Bower. He had officially mentioned in publications that Meghan Markle’s mother was a drug dealer and served in the prison for the same.

“I’m sick and tired of Meghan haters making that claim but not backing it up” King continued in the thread. Others soon followed up to express their disgust at the ones spreading rumors.

“Haters, get a life,” commented another.

Although her estranged father is white, her mother is black, giving Markle a biracial color. Thus the mix-race factor was always a matter of concern with Royal premises. Doria Ragland is currently, a social worker and a former yoga instructor who hails from Ohio, USA.
