Will Ferrell described shooting for Spirited with Ryan Reynolds as absolute madness. The actor is lovingly known as Christmas King with his movie Elf being a favorite festive superhit. Despite having experience with musicals, the actor was nervous and had to prepare for his movie with Reynolds.

The 55-year-old comedian quit the skit show SNL after appearing on it several times. Currently, he is enjoying the success of Spirited and appearing for interviews. In a recent one, the actor spoke about what it was like to sing, dance, and prepare for a worthy remake of the Charles Dickens story. His also shared his experience working with Reynolds and how vulnerability makes him a better comedian.

Spirited brought us to double the comedy with the combo of Ryan Reynolds and Will Ferrell. In a recent interview with Wall Street Journal, the actor talked about the fun and burn felt during the shoots of their Christmas movie. “We’re like, “Wait, we’re supposed to get to this twirl here and this thing. How is this going to happen? This is madness.” Apparently, he and Reynolds worked for “seven weeks and a month” for the rehearsals for the movie. The holiday movie will have a magic, song, and dance with comedy sprinkled all over it.

Ferrell also talked about how he managed to unlock comedy through vulnerability, a quality that Reynolds credits him for. To which he said that “men, in so many ways, are just big babies and we can’t take it- and we can’t take that we know that about ourselves.” The actor jokingly gave Donald Trump’s examples to state how “the biggest baby off all time” was the President of the United States.
