We are no strangers to the legacy of The Witcher franchise. Perhaps one of the most successful names among fantasy fans, The Witcher, has always been something to look out for. Over the years, the franchise has expanded significantly with multiple books, games, and TV series under its banner. Not long ago, the show’s third season surfaced online and took the world by storm. Now that Part II of The Witcher season 3 will soon be making its way to our screens, there seems to be an exciting update from the sets.

The end of season 2 marked the introduction of the Wild Hunt, a mysterious group of special horsemen. Moreover, various reports on the third season suggested how the Wild Hunters would play a significant role in the upcoming season. With the third season’s first volume ending, there seems to be a new villain joining the Wild Hunt in Volume II. Much to the excitement of the fans, Voleth Meir will be a part of the Wild Hunt.

The Witcher fan site Redanian Intelligence shared a glimpse of the character from behind the scenes. A catchy caption followed the announcement as they wrote, “Somehow, Voleth Meir returned.“

Voleth Meir, more popularly known as the Deathless Mother, is a popular demon that feeds off pain. The Witcher fans are no strangers to Voleth Meir and how lethal she can be. Perhaps one of the strongest members of the Wild Hunt, Meir will surely be a threat to watch out for.

As surprising as it sounds, the character was specifically made for the show. Creator Lauren Hissrich explained her choice to add the mysterious character to the show. As reported by Redanian Intelligence, Hissrich revealed that she planned to create a long-term villain for the show. Furthermore, she explained that she wanted to connect it to Geralt, Yennefer, and Ciri’s story without bringing all of them together.

When will Volume 2 of The Witcher Season 3 drop?

Not long ago, we saw the first volume of the third season make its way to our screens. The first volume included five episodes of the lore. We saw how the third season showed us war approaching Geralt, Yennefer, and Ciri. The first part ended on a cliffhanger, leaving the fans eager for more.

As per reports, volume II of season 3 will make its way to our screens on the 27th of July later this month. The second batch will have a total of 3 episodes and will mark the end of Henry Cavill‘s run as the Geralt. As of now, we do not have a trailer for volume 2 of the third season.
