‘Stranger Things on Stage,’ as evidenced by its name, is in a different lane from the Netflix series. The play commences at London’s Phoenix Theatre in mid-November. While it will have theatre actors starring in it, the play is based on the Duffer Brother’s original story. This is why, as the trailer for The First Shadow dropped, fans were greeted with more than just a simple insight into what the play will be.

As the Netflix show heads towards its finale, the creators have not been very kind with the updates. A major factor behind this is the Writers’ protest that the Duffer Brothers have indefinitely joined. The crucial question that The First Shadow will have to answer, however, is: Why Hawkins? How is it that the town has become prone to every kind of Upside Down monster?

It is unlikely that the creators will directly link the finale and the prequel story, as many will not be able to attend the play. But Duffer Brothers have always been a bag of surprises.
