The Duchess of Sussex was not permitted to wear the famous royal jewels that Princess Diana made famous. Late Queen Elizabeth II, the grandmother of her husband, carried out the act of making them unavailable for Markle. In 2019, sources from the royal palace revealed that the Queen has had enough of the Suits actress’s attitude and hence denied her the possession of the Royal jewelry collection.

On the other hand, the former queen of the UK has often loaned the pieces from the jewel collection of the Princess of Wales to Kate Middleton. Moreover, according to The Sun’s sources, her majesty informed Prince Harry directly about this. It also sparked rumors that this decision of the queen would affect the relationship between the royal brothers.
But this was not the first time Markle was barred from wearing the royal jewels.
Prince Charles once told Meghan Markle not to wear a tiara
Apparently, the late Queen was not the only member who barred the Duchess of Sussex from wearing a piece of jewelry. As a consequence of the expanded restrictions on the Royal Collection, Prince Charles once asked Meghan Markle not to wear an emerald tiara during a trip to Fiji in October 2018.
Contradictorily, the sources also claimed that there are no personal grudges her majesty held against the actress. It was all about the hierarchy, and the former queen wanted to demonstrate the value of upholding the correct hierarchy and seniority within the family. Despite Markle’s popularity, Kate holds an upper position over her and hence is the real descendant of the royal jewels.
