Eloise and Penelope have the best love story in the whole show. They have always supported each other emotionally and always protect each other from the shallow society. But Penelope aka Lady Whistledown’s column brings about a disastrous end to their friendship in the last episode of Bridgerton season 2. With a lot of guilt, Lady Whistledown wrote a column revealing Eloise’s secrets to make the queen believe that the latter is not Lady W. When Eloise finds out about the deception and discovered Lady W’s identity, she is livid and no longer wants to see Penelope again.

After Bridgerton season 2 ended, viewers have been taking sides of either Penelope Featherington or Eloise Bridgerton. The best of friends ended their relationship in the worst way in the last episode. And fans are giving their perspective about who is more right or wrong.

According to our opinion, both of the characters are right in their place. Nichola Coughlan as Penelope uses all those harsh words against Claudia Jessie‘s Eloise so that the Queen of England leaves the latter alone.
On the other hand, Eloise has the full right to be upset with her best friend cause she kept her identity as Lady Whistledown a secret. And for her column, so much shame has come to the Bridgerton family, and she even shamed herself in front of the entire society. All while, Eloise always remained candid with her friend.
