Despite being on the Top 10 list of Netflix for a week, The Witcher fans are still carrying a heavy heart owing to the departure of Henry Cavill. However, Cavill is not the be-all and end-all of this popular show. Princess Cirilla of Cintra, played by Freya Allan, became one of the key characters in the series right from the first season as she was in the books.

Throughout the series progression, Ciri’s extent of power and her overwhelming abilities to survive were visible. Season 3, however, was full of hurdles for the Lady of Space and Time, showcasing her mettle as a survivor. And in this, she formed a special relationship with one character in the show, which the 21-year-old actress recently spoke about.

In a recent interview with Tudum, the Gunpowder Milkshake actress shared her experience working with the unicorn that appears in Season 3. This unicorn becomes a guiding angel for the Lion Cub of Cintra and helps her navigate through the dangers in Korath Desert. What is interesting to note is that the unicorn was not animated, “It was actually a circus horse” as revealed by Allan.

While talking about her encounter with this interesting co-star, she says, “I laid out in the desert with it and literally spooned the bloody horse. It was amazing, and it was beautiful.” She revealed that she had to practice her scenes with the horse to be in sync with it. This figure of the unicorn, known as Ihuarraquax in novels and Little Horse in the show, mysteriously vanishes into thin air when Falka makes Ciri realize her powers.

In Season 3, Ciri was up against the wall for survival which had a profound impact on her. The Lion Cub of Cintra joined forces with the outlaws, The Rats, who will be getting their own spin-off in some time. She took Falka’s name while joining the group, who was her ancestor and an ancient rebel leader. In the novels, Ciri loses her moral compass, owing to all the troubles she had to endure. Whether Hissirich will stay true to the books and show Rats’ role in corrupting her is yet questionable, owing to her habit of manipulating the sources.

Apart from this, Season 3 saw Teryn, the fake Ciri, with Emhyr instead of the real one. The exact reason for this confusion and who exactly is responsible for playing with the minds of the young girls is a question still in light that will find its way in the new season. And not to forget, Liam Hemsworth will be seen playing the new Geralt of Rivia. But how are the creators going to bring this transition is something that fans need to wait for.
