How the Duchess of York Became the First Royal Member to Side With Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Amid Family Feud

There has been a lot of mud-splashing from both parties ever since Prince Harry and Meghan Markle decided to pack up their bags and leave, more so on the Sussexes, as they chose to make a Netflix docuseries and write a book about their Royal experience. The book, Prince Harry’s memoir, managed to ruffle feathers and pull them out as he decided to recall every mistreatment he had encountered at the hands of the Royal family. While his following reportedly hit an all-time low since its release, there is still hope for the Prince in the form of the Duchess of York.

As Prince Harry and Meghan Markle hit the drums harder with every confession they made, the silence from the Royal family was noticeable. However, one member of the Royal family has finally acknowledged the existence of the Sussexes. And even spoke in their favour ahead of King Charles’ coronation.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle hoped to pursue a peaceful life when they left the Royal family. However, things have only gotten worst since then. Labelled as a resignation from their position as working royals quickly turned into a resignation from the Royal family entirely. Therefore, the reports of the Palace asking the Sussexes to leave their home in England, Frogmore Cottage, did not come as much of a shock. However, the Duchess of York speaking up for the Sussexes around this time was definitely unexpected. “I have been judged all my life, and I have no judgment on the Sussexes,” she said in her interview with People.

Fergie did not reveal her political stance. Nonetheless, she made it clear that she was not impressed with the Sussex haters. The Duchess of York further mentioned the late Princess Diana and how proud she would be of her grandkids today.

Throughout her years in the Royal family, the Duchess of York has carried herself gracefully. And she continues to do so after her divorce from Prince Andrew. The author was not picking any sides, especially during such a crucial time. She only had words of encouragement and love for Princess Diana’s children.

The Duchess is also releasing a book. However, it isn’t anything like Prince Harry’s memoir. The Duchess of York is a cherished author owing to her fictional periodic tales.
