DC Extended Universe, one of the biggest film franchises in the world, has been going through a rough patch. Over the course of a few months, the studio has undergone some major changes in its management. James Gunn and Peter Safran have taken over the reins with plans to rebuild the franchise. On top of that, the biggest star of the franchise, Henry Cavill, has returned as Superman after being absent for nearly five years. However, was the former boss of the studio Walter Hamada planning to bring back Cavill much sooner than Black Adam?

DC has been struggling with its production plans for years. While undoubtedly the studio gave some very memorable films to the audience, it seems like the studio has been having a tough time creating a cinematic universe like their Marvel Counterpart. And as per the latest reports, the former boss Walter Hamada was planning to bring back Henry Cavill back as Superman for an adaptation of Crisis on Infinite Earths.

Walter Hamada wanted to bring back Henry Cavill to DCEU before Black Adam?

Ever since James Gunn and Peter Safran have taken over the DC Extended Universe, things have taken a complete turn. With plans to redevelop the entire franchise, the fans are eager to see what the future holds. However, as per recent reports, Walter Hamada had a plan for the franchise featuring Henry Cavill’s Superman. Apparently, the former boss was working on a long-term plan for the DCEU that included an adaptation of Crisis on Infinite Earths.

Rumors suggest that the first Flash movie would have laid down the groundwork for Crisis. Back then, Cavill had left the studio already. However, Hamada wanted to bring back the actor with hopes that he would lead Crisis. However, there is no confirmation for the same.

What does the future look like for DC?

Even though the most popular hero Superman has returned, the future still looks uncertain. As of late, it seems like the DC fandom is extremely upset with the new management. Furthermore, recently, James Gunn debunked a huge misunderstanding about him and the British actor. All in all, the future of Cavill’s superman looks uncertain.
