Ryan Reynolds has found a friend of a lifetime in Rob McElhenney. They buy multi-million dollar soccer clubs together; they host King Charles in the said football club together, and they also pretend to never have heard of the Harry & Meghan documentary together. After the spectacular reception of the Welcome to Wrexham documentary, looks like Reynolds is again putting Maximum Effort (both the effort and the verb) into a Season 2.

And by the recent video of the King and Queen Consort’s visit to the club, looks like Welcome to Wrexham Season 2: Charles in Charge is going to be one heck of a season. Did Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney ask the King about Harry & Meghan?

The highly anticipated documentary that would prove to be an extension of the infamous Opera interview, Harry & Meghan, released on Netflix on the 8th of December. Furthermore, the documentary caused controversy not just due to its contents but also its timing. It came while Prince William and Kate Middleton were touring the United States. And just a day after the release, Twitter was greeted with pictures of King Charles meeting Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney along with Queen Consort Camilla.

Before the grand meeting, Reynolds revealed that he and McElhenney had taken etiquette lessons for meeting the King. Now, whether these etiquette lessons also had a lesson on not indulging in any drama surrounding a documentary that calls out the Royal family is unclear. But it is exactly what Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney did.

When asked by the media if they would bring up the Netflix documentary, the actors played dumb. “I’ve never heard of it” “I’ve not seen it,” said Rob and Reynolds, respectively.

But in all seriousness, Reynolds and Rob McElhenney are more likely to be concerned about their own docuseries. Welcome to Wrexham, despite being a sports documentary, managed to strike a chord with the audience irrespective of the genres they prefer. The actors may not have asked the King about Harry and Meghan‘s documentary, but they are sure to have discussed the upcoming season of Welcome to Wrexham if Reynolds’ Instagram is anything to go by.
