The second volume of The Witcher 3 is just around the corner, more like just after five days. And while we wait for the last few episodes before Henry Cavill’s exit, there is much to look forward to. This season, being closest to Andrzej Sapkowski’s work is adorned with thrilling fight scenes and stunt sequences. In Cavill’s words, he is laying down his medallion and swords for season 4. While we see our favorite Witcher depart the season, this other character has been wooing fans with his character. 

The Witcher actor who played the Kovirian mage, Mahesh Jadu, has left the fans in awe with this character. This highest-ranked of the Brotherhood of Sorcerers will come face to face with the Geralt in an intense fight scene. In the exchange of dialogue that Jadu’s script on the Instagram post show, Viglefortz is seen confronting Geralt. He draws parallels between their characters, upon which Geralt disagrees they have much in common. The villain, Viglefortz, draws parallels between himself and Geralt, the hero, something that we often see in protagonist-antagonist arcs.

Viglefortz continues their conversation about Geralt and him sharing similar pasts. Both being outcasts and orphans, he adds how he considered himself neither a man, druid nor a mage. He also reveals that he became a sorcerer, only to escape being an unwanted mutant bounced around by the cruel world while drawing the parallels. In Cavill’s voice, Geralt firmly negates these parallels and the sorcerer that he will not reach too far.

Fans swoon over Mahesh Jadu’s antagonist role

As an admired the dark character of this antagonist, they wrote “This season was really good. And finally we will see the true face of Vilgefortz, I am glad to know that he is played by you who are a GREAT actor.” Some other fans were completely in awe of how Jadu put life to the character and his nature. They added, “It’s amazing how actors breathe life into words 😍” and “you’ve eaten the character!🌟🪄💜.” 

The script picture that he posted was also a hit as the fans took to the comments and said, “I loved reading this. I can hear your voice in it 🙌.” On the accompanying two pictures of Jadu in his costume, fans commented, “Vilgefortz can’t wait to see you make a statement😍🙌” and “You look bloody amazing!!! 💥💥💥.”
