The internet supports Oscars instead of Taylor Swift for All Too Well

The shortlists for the 95th Academy Awards were unveiled on 21 December. Revealing the news about All Too Well, Film Updates posted on Twitter that Taylor Swift’s debut direction has been snubbed from the nominations. “Taylor Swift’s ‘All Too Well: The Short Film’ has been snubbed from the Oscars shortlist for Best Live-Action Short Film,” read the caption.

It would be disturbing news for the Grammy winner who made huge efforts for campaigning this short film. Despite the huge appreciation, this video got from fans, many think that it didn’t deserve an Oscar nomination. Twitter users have expressed their views and agreed with the decision of the Academy as comments on the post. The point of contention is that All Too Well: Short Film is indeed not a film but merely an extended music video and didn’t deserve a nomination as such.

One user stated: “Good. A mediocre music video, is not deserving of an Oscar nomination.”

“Can’t be snubbed if it wasn’t deserving of a nom to begin with,” commented second user.

“« Snubbed » like it deserved to be there in the first place
be serious. A mv is not a movie and doesn’t have to be treated as such just because Miss Swift calls it film,” remarked third.

“Good the spot belongs to a smaller director who needs to break through the industry and actually makes films,” posted another user.
