Kendrick Lamar has become such a superstar that people are now hallucinating him and he is not even close to being. The rapper has dominated much of the pop culture estate from his feud with Drake. And he is still basking in the glory of his triumph in the diss war. While there has been no feud this time around, thanks to the UFC, Lamar found himself in an awkward spot when boxing legend Terence Crawford was mistaken for him.  

Terence Crawford recently showed up at the UFC event in Vegas to take in the action at Sin City’s most talked-about arena. However, as soon as the camera panned to him, MMA commentator Jon Anik made the blunder of labeling Crawford as Kendrick Lamar. Luckily, the boxing champ took this well. Following the mix-up, former UFC champ Aljamain Sterling took to X to have a laugh, saying, "Terence Crawford evolved into Kendrick Lamar tonight”. 

Soon, Crawford also responded with another tweet, saying, “Damn Kendrick Lamar” with two smiley emojis. The ‘Not Like Us’ rapper is still mum about the whole thing. Given that the two do not look alike in any geometric relation or share any physical traits to be confused by, no one knows how the error happened in the first place. But it happened regardless.

Once the blunder hit the internet, it did not take the awkward moment to go viral, and fans have been having a field day ever since.

Kendrick Lamar recently stunned the hip-hop world with a surprise music drop, right after his Super Bowl Halftime show was confirmed. And while Lamar has been all over the place in the music arena, Terence Crawford has been making his own waves in the boxing world. Therefore, some fans have taken the mix-up as just a case of two big names being mistaken for each other. They also referenced the popular mention of Crawford in Lamar's track, 'Euphoria', where the rapper compared himself to the boxing champion. 

Meanwhile, others wondered how this blunder happened and if it was a planned slip. "They did him so dirty," a fan wrote. 

UFC production is renowned for its top-notch quality and quick turnaround times. Especially, Dana White, the President, is famously meticulous about UFC production, so this slip-up might not sit well with him or the production team. However, everyone has their off days. And whether or not anyone faces the axe over this mishap, it is clear that the blunder certainly made the internet's day.
