“Ain’t got no issues”, HitBoy Gives Update on His Relationship With Kanye West After Their ‘Eazy’ Collaboration

As Kanye West collaborates with artists after his return, his former collaborator has something to say about him. The ‘Flashing Lights’ singer loves teaming up and spent nearly $3 million on his album ‘My Beautiful Twisted Dark Fantasy’ for one of the biggest album collaborations in history. Those who worked with him have nothing but admiration for the creative genius that he is.

It is also no secret that Ye is not the easiest celebrity to work with. While some were struck by him, others walked out due to personal or professional reasons. Since Ye avoids interviews and media presence, rapper HitBoy was asked about their rapport in 2023, and here is what he had to say.

Just like Ye, HitBoy is an important entity that has contributed a lot of art to the hip-hop industry. But rivalries and partnerships often flip in the music industry. The producer who produced Kanye West’s Diamond Certified song ‘Ni*gas in Paris’, revealed their relationship status during an interview with BootlegKev. Since Ye’s topic comes up in every interview, this one was no exception as they scratched his topic.
When the interviewer asked HitBoy about his relationship, the rapper clarified that he has not been in contact with Ye. “I ain’t got no issues with him“, he said confirming that the last time they spoke was for the ‘Eazy’ collaboration. On a positive note, HitBoy confirmed that Ye wanted him on a track recently regarding an unrevealed project.
But their mutual admiration was not short of hurdles, as they briefly took jibes at each other over a misunderstanding.

Kanye West went from admiring Beyonce to splitting with her and his friend Jay Z years later. But their personal rivalry turned professional. HitBoy was told to his face by Ye about not getting hired because he worked with the ‘Irreplaceable’ singer. After that, Ye clarified that it was not the main issue, but rather something else, and their friendship mended back.

The interview also revealed of West likely launching music with rapper Freddie Gibbs. If confirmed, this would be his second collaboration after his return, as he already made a track with Fivio Foreign, ‘Concussion.’
