Sometimes even a big star like Henry Cavill does not set goals for himself, and it works out great. Celebrities, like normal people, go through struggles and a career path to rise amongst cutthroat competition. It takes years of planning, auditioning, and networking while proving yourself as an actor. All with the mental preparation of projects getting made or canceled anytime.

The actor himself got a big shock when his Man of Steel 2 got canceled, weeks after the announcement and nonstop discussions. This happened in the year 2022, and just two years before that, the actor gave an interview stating the unpredictable rollercoaster that is his life, and how it turned well afterward.

Cavill quickly made a name for himself with his looks and acting skills, which he promised to be the result of his discipline and hard work. But he revealed to Josh Horowitz during a 2020 interview how he never planned out a goal post the success of Man of Steel. The road to opportunities widened after the movie and he was asked if he had a plan. “I mean I didn’t set goals for myself, and I’m glad I didn’t,” he revealed.

As per him, setting goals is good under normal circumstances. But his journey was full of surprises, and sometimes he did or didn’t do things that he was supposed to do or not do. He wished something were different only to reason that sometimes it is better not to get what you want. He relates that to the pandemic as well, and how it taught him to be more thankful for things that he does have.

Playing any other character after Superman was going to be a challenge, but Henry Cavill accepted it openly. The actor stepped in to play the lead character for Netflix’s The Witcher, one of the biggest series on the platform. Unfortunately, his time on that series is also ending, as he will be replaced after season 3.

However, that also means he has time to focus on his upcoming action flicks, The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare and Warhammer 40k, etc. The last few years also saw Caill starring as Sherlock Holmes in Netflix’s Enola Holmes, alongside teen sensation, Millie Bobby Brown.
