Will Smith in Legal Woes Following Renaissance With ‘Bad Boys 4’ for This One Movie
Once a star revered for his clean slate, Will Smith has had quite the one eighty in many ways over the last few years. This is not surprising, considering the fact that a slap delivered at the Oscar stage would have done worse for another person in the same position. However, Smith has managed to build back the brick wall since then, owing to the help of million dollar blockbusters such as Bad Boys: Ride or Die. However, it seems that this brick wall now has another crack.
Jet setting off with Johnny Depp, just when Hollywood was once again turning mushy for Will Smith, the actor has gotten involved in a million dollar legal case curtsy of one of his most forgettable films.

As Will Smith was transition from a young actor who could throw punches while grooving to a song, he himself has belt out to a more layered actor who could still do all the nine yards but with a more nuanced touch, the actor came upon Gemini Man. A movie that was not only a box office dud but also criminally forgettable with its overbearing use of CGI. As if the movie had not cost Smith enough in 2019, according to In Touch Weekly, his name is among those accused by Kissinger Sabanda of stealing his idea.
Sabanda has filed a 1.7 Million lawsuit against Skydance Productions, Gemini Pictures, Paramount Pictures, and others. According to him, although the idea for the Gemini Man came officially from Darren Lemke and David Benioff, Kissinger Sabanda alleges that if it were not for his book The Return to Gibraltar, there was no way the movie could have been made.
While this science fiction dud from his past may have come to bite Smith in the back, there is one sci-fi gem that is promising to take his career to heights unprecedented.

Will Smith is among the actors who have really put in the work to make science fiction the billion-dollar genre it is now. When Marvel movies were not all the hype, it was the actor and his skilfully picked scripts that often involved a bit of science in fiction that made the audience swamp into theaters. And while he may be facing a lawsuit on one hand for his attempt to replicate the same magic, it will not stop the actor from putting his foot in for I Am Legend.
The sequel for I Am Legend has been in the works for quite a while now and the hype is truly unlike any other. Given his recent debacle, it was suspected that Smith would be a thorn in the movie's success, but the actor proved that he was still worth the bucks as he soared to new heights with Martin Lawrence. While the fate of the 1.7 Million lawsuit may be undecided as of now since the actor's team has not yet released a statement, it will do less harm for the actor no matter the turnout.
