Meghan Markle shared some dicey times with the Royal Family. Be it her brother-in-law and his family or the Queen and her accompaniments, she didn’t share a great relationship. Moreover, their feud was quite public. Meghan Markle’s marriage had already sparked a lot of controversy. In addition, the pre-wedding incidents narrated in his book led to a further gap between Prince Harry and the Royal Family. And as they withdrew from royal engagements, fast forward to 2021, they bought a home in California.

This cut-off from family, however, started way back before their marriage when the gap started widening. The famous bridesmaid fiasco left a tussle between Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle. A sad Middleton was left in “tears.”

The bridesmaid fiasco still remains one of the top media frenzies surrounding the royals that played out in Markle and Prince Harry’s marriage. Apparently, Middleton had requested the “very long” Princess Charlotte’s bridesmaid’s dress for the altercation. After the American actress directed her to meet the royal trailer at their home, the Princess of Wales was flustered and was reported in the media to be left in “tears.” Wedding tailor Ajay Mirpuri told in an interview with DailyMail about how he did not see any argument between the Duchess of Cambridge and Duchess of Sussex. 

In fact, he sympathized with the pressure that is present during such big events. The underlying problems tend to get aggravated during these times. Moreover, dress fittings can be overwhelming because nobody likes last-minute tensions. The media noticed the rift between the two Duchesses more than their ill-fitted clothes. Mirpuri and his group of tailors worked for 96 hours straight after they realized all bridesmaids’ clothes needed fitting.

The Duke of Sussex wrote about the bridesmaid incident in his memoir. When the wedding dresses were not fit and proper in size, Markle faced the wrath of Middleton. Apparently, Markle was sobbing on the floor. This is because she was under a lot of stress and nobody was cooperating. The book mentioned that “fierce texts were exchanged” between the two Duchesses about the altercations. 

Harry stated in the book that the media reports were stating quite the opposite of what happened in reality. He also mentioned the tailor Mirpuri by his first name in his book.
