In 2020, Henry Cavill appeared on the episode of Happy Sad Confused to talk about acting projects. During this conversation, the host asked him about his interview with Patrick Stewart and how he seemed so excited. In his response, the 40-year-old stated that he grew up watching his movies.

“So that is the only actor or only person in the industry ever who when I found out I’m going to be interacting with him,” he revealed. The British superstar instantly texted on his group chat and told his friends that he was going to meet Stewart. Hearing this, his buddies gave out their advice about what questions he should and not ask him.

While he also took this opportunity to remind him of the time when he auditioned in front of the Mirfield native. He recalled they were hiring actors for The Lion in Winter and the actor also went for it as a newbie.

“I was extremely nervous to audition in front of an actor of your caliber. I went in to the audition and I had spent weeks learning my lines,” added Cavill. The Netflix star continued that he forgot all the lines just seeing Stewart sitting in front of his eyes. Even after this mess, the Jeffrey star treated him politely and thanked him for coming down to the audition.
