'The Conjuring' Unveils First Look From the Horror Franchise Finale in Exciting Update for Fans

The Conjuring brought a new definition of fear to the hearts of fans. A long favorite of the horror-loving fandom, the franchise has always delivered spine-chilling tales and unforgettable supernatural encounters. And what made the movies even more unsettling was the rumors that it was based on real-life events of the Annabelle case. This horror franchise has not only attained success in its goal of causing fear but has also grossed a combined $2.2 billion over the years.
Now ready for a finale with new surprises and returning faces, the upcoming instalment, The Conjuring: Last Rites, has caught the fans off guard today with a sweet, unexpected surprise.

Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga are ready to reprise their roles one last time as Ed Warren and Lorraine Warren in the fifth instalment of the movie, The Conjuring: Last Rites. In an exclusive interview with Entertainment Weekly, the onscreen pair not only shared the first look from the movie but also looked back on their journey of filming the franchise. Speaking about her pairing with Wilson, Farmiga said, "That's just the absolutely best arranged marriage in the history of arranged marriages."
Farmiga continued about the great rapport she shares with Patrick Wilson, saying, "I'm going to miss Patrick most of all," and elaborated that she will miss him as a fun scene partner who understands her kind of neurology and who vibes with her brain. Farmiga also added that she is blessed to have had him by her side, who made all of these “life-zapping, exhausting exorcisms feel like a family barbecue."
Not just Vera Farmiga, but Patrick Wilson, who partially carried the franchise on his shoulders for a decade, is nostalgic about its ending.

Patrick Wilson said in the same interview that he actually cannot imagine the journey being over, really, because of Vera Farmiga. "It really meant the world to me.” Thinking about it makes him emotional, and he cannot imagine not doing a movie with her. Nonetheless, they went through a lot of ideas on how to make this finale a spectacular experience, thinking, “How shamelessly big can we make it? How epic can we make it?'

The awaited movie that has created much anticipation about its release is scheduled to hit the theatres on September 5 this year. The cast also includes newcomers Ben Hardy and Mia Tomlinson in undisclosed roles, adding to the appeal of the final installment. Though this might not be the ultimate ending, as The Conjuring Universe expands with spin-offs and potential TV series ideas being worked upon to arrive in the near future. However, for now, fans wait for The Conjuring to read its last rites in September.
