During an interview with Entertainment Tonight from earlier today, comedy legend: Michael J. Fox spoke on his relationship with Matthew Perry. After all, the recently deceased actor once called him a “national treasure” and the “inspiration” behind his “acting aspiration” too. Well, Fox confessed that he shared a mutual respect for Perry. Especially since the latter had written a check worth $1 million for the former’s charity dedicated to Parkinson’s disease!
Well, Perry not only looked up to Fox but also joked about being jealous of him once. Like the Canadian actor, he also went from being a comedic legend to a full-time philanthropist. So, when he came into a life-changing amount of money, he chose to share his wealth with Fox’s foundation. For the 62-year-old, Perry’s generosity served as a “vote of confidence” since his organization was in its “early” stages then.
Besides Matthew Perry, another legendary actor known for his comedic timing looks up to Michael J. Fox tremendously.

I lost my dad to Parkinson’s so besides @realmikefox being a friend, role model, generational talent and Canadian, I cannot wait to see ‘Still’ on @AppleTVPlus. It’ll soon reside on the MJF anthology DVD shelf in my heart. Btw, The Frighteners is criminally underrated. pic.twitter.com/mMsBndjTAP

Back in 2008, Reynolds joined forces with the Michael J. Fox Foundation as a board member. From that moment on, he has been on a mission to shine a spotlight on Parkinson’s disease alongside Fox. In addition to pouring his love for Fox into words frequently, he also commends the Family Ties actor for having battled Parkinson’s himself. Considering how much Fox has done to improve people’s lives, Reynolds’ fascination with him seems reasonable.
