Ryan Reynolds is one of the most popular actors in recent times and it looks like his popularity is only going higher with every endeavor he takes up. From hilarious romantic comedies to the actor’s obsession with body-swapping movies and his depiction of Deadpool, Reynolds has given his fans a lot to remember him by. But since 2020, it has been the actor’s co-purchase of Wrexham AFC with Rob McElhenney that has been in the spotlight. From winning their first EFL match in fifteen years to boosting their club back into the big leagues, the actor duo has surprised all their fans.
It looks like the three-time People’s Choice award winner had another trick up his sleeve and signed an ex-Manchester player to his team.
Ryan Reynolds’ brand new wild card

The Criminal actor recently took to his Instagram account to surprise his followers and give a shout-out to the newest player in his team. The announcement and story came on the deadline date, leaving fans stunned. In Reynolds’ story, he posted a picture of George Evans, a midfielder, with the caption, “Welcome to Wrexham.”

That was not all. The new signee also told North Wales Live that he was ecstatic that he moved up a League and was “very much looking forward” to working on this project. Evans also went on to say that he was “desperate” to be a part of the Welsh club.
This is not the first time that Reynolds, who recently shared a cute birthday post for his wife, and Rob McElhenney have convinced bigger players to join their club. Last month, the duo jumped the gun and announced the signing of a former Premier League player, which completely threw everyone.
Ryan Reynolds surprised fans at League 2 match
During the Red Dragons’ match against Milton Keynes Dons in League 2 last month, Ryan Reynolds could not keep the excitement contained. The actor jumped the gun and revealed to Sky Sports that the duo had signed James McClean, an ex-Wigan player.

Ryan Reynolds also went on to shower his new player with various words of encouragement. However, the actor was mainly excited at what he and his co-owner had achieved. During his interview, the club owner went on to say that McClean “understands what’s ahead of him and the job he needs to do.”
