When Meghan Markle was still connected to the British royal clan, her world was brimming with countless critics. However, she had her loyal supporters who remained by her side and walked with her through the challenging journey. Among them was Markle’s former best friend and prominent fashion stylist, Jessica Mulroney. Although their companionship did not end ideally, their bond was once considered one of the most special relationships for the Duchess of Sussex. After years of being BFFs, their friendship seems to have fizzled out.

Now it seems like Mulroney is reminiscing about the royal family of England once again.

Besides her days as Markle’s bestie, Mulroney has another link that binds her to the royals of Windsor. Her father-in-law, Brian Mulroney, once served as the Prime Minister of Canada. So, he and Jessica Mulroney’s mother-in-law had crossed paths with Princess Diana and King Charles during that time. Yesterday, the fashion guru shared an Instagram post to her story that featured various images of the Mulroneys with the royals. 

The pictures in the post seemed to hint at a warm bond between the couples. The 43-year-old often shares glimpses of her life on social media. Recently, she shocked her Instagram followers with an absurd revelation too. This recent share suggests that despite her fallout with the Suits actress, Mulroney still cherishes her family’s royal connections. After all, the images did showcase her mother-in-law and Princess Diana chatting away at multiple events.

Meghan Markle and the Canadian fashionista’s friendship

Initially, the former Suits star and the stylist crossed paths in the USA and became good friends when Markle was living in Toronto. Both ladies would often share images and references of each other over their social media platforms. In fact, the Duchess once showered appreciation on Mulroney through a post in her blog ‘The Tig’. However, their last public interaction was captured in the Netflix documentary series, Harry & Meghan.

In the six-part docuseries, Mulroney shared anecdotes from the Duchess’s life and stood in her corner. This year, she was embroiled in a controversy regarding some remarks she made which also did not sit well with Markle. At present, the Duchess and the stylist are believed to be estranged. Maybe the Canadian stylist’s unwavering support for the 42-year-old was simply not enough to keep them together. Well, both ladies seem to have moved on from their past.
