Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s $4.7 Million Portugal Estate Has Run into Some Fresh Hurdles
It seems Meghan Markle and Prince Harry just cannot catch a break. The couple has been hit with one problem after another since the very start of the year. Markle’s American Riviera Orchard is still stuck in limbo, Prince Harry is still under a serious deportation threat, and their Netflix deal- the only beacon of hope- has not delivered the results they were hoping for. Now, as if it was not enough, the couple is also facing some issues over the newly bought $4.7 million Portugal property.
The Sussexes' Portugal property seems to be caught in a standstill, and it looks like they will not be able to settle into it anytime soon.

Earlier this year, the couple purchased a property in Portugal, located near the CostaTerra Golf and Ocean Club on the country’s stunning west coast. But, according to a source speaking with the UK’s Express, the property is still a long way from being ready for them to move in. The issue is, with the UK no longer part of the European Union, the Duke and Duchess will now need to apply for Portuguese citizenship in order to travel freely in the area, which also involves the Sussexes learning the national language.
The source, nonetheless, confirmed that Markle and Prince Harry have not bought the property to make a move to Europe. It is merely an "investment". The estate, which is home to around 300 high-end properties, is also close to the residence of Prince Harry’s cousin, Princess Eugenie. Aside from this property issue, the Sussexes' work relationship has also been facing some difficulties lately.
To encounter this specific problem, the Duke and Duchess have come up with a new PR strategy.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle part ways professionally for good
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are facing tension in their professional relationship. It seems their image as the royal power couple has not resonated the way they had hoped. As a result, they have decided to take a different approach, focusing more on solo projects where the perception of them as a ‘couple’ will not get in the way. In fact, Markle has only made a few public appearances in recent months.

Meanwhile, Prince Harry has been traveling solo to various countries to reshape his public image. In the coming month, they will be attending separate events in the US, even though they will be on opposite sides of the same country. So far, this new strategy appears to be working for them. However, it still has not solved the growing pile of challenges they are facing.
