Playing different characters requires more than just being a good actor. Therefore, before auditioning for any role, the actors study the characters. Sydney Sweeney once auditioned to be a part of a 2020 horror movie where her character needed to have a specific skill. Although Hollywood’s ‘it’ girl is extremely talented, she did not have the required skill and so she lied about it. Only after playing the role, the actress once admitted the truth and revealed the reason as well.

The Euphoria star has portrayed many characters till now and impressed her fans with her versatility. The young actress once starred in a supernatural horror movie named Nocturne. To play the lead role in the film as Juliet Lowe, Sweeney needed to know how to play the piano. During her interview with Collider, the 25-year-old actress admitted her lie. The interviewer asked her about her Zoom call with the filmmakers, which made her admit the truth.

“Actually, I might have said I’ve had some piano experience just to make sure I can do this,” admitted The White Lotus star. What she was planning was to take lessons afterward as fast as she could. However, the production team had a pianist to teach them different songs. So, when she sat with them to learn, Sweeney felt a little nervous as she admitted.

It happens to us that sometimes learning something for the sake of it can make us actually like it a little more than we would expect. The same thing happened with the American actress. After taking lessons, she actually enjoyed playing the instrument and ended up buying her own electric piano. She revealed she would practice with it at home after she had learned the choreography on the sets.

Her dedication to her work and consistent efforts took her so far. It is not the first time she had done something to prepare her character. When she starred in a biopic titled Reality, she went to meet Reality Winner and spent time with her to understand her character better. Even to prepare herself for her role in Euphoria, Sweeney prepared herself before embracing the role as well.
