From a very young age, Prince Harry has been under the spotlight of the media, dealing with everything from his mother’s death to his career in the military. He further exacerbated the situation when he chose to marry Suits actress Meghan Markle and took a step back from the royal family as a working senior member. But even after leaving his native country and relocating to California, his commitment to charity and unquestionable compassion continues.

Following his recent appointment to the board of directors of African Parks, the Duke announced another role as global ambassador for a charity with which he has worked since 2017. Further, he also left a touching message for the kids involved in this charity.

The Archewell Foundation, founded by Prince Harry, posted a statement written by the Duke emphasizing the significance of Remembrance Day. In his letter, he stated that the children should know that he is rooting for them during this difficult time. He hoped that this Remembrance Day weekend be marked by “support” and “shared understanding.” The Prince also remarked that this is an emotional time of year and that everyone should gather to thank their “military parents” for their service and sacrifice.

The Duke went on to say that he understands what it feels like to lose a parent. However, being a member of such a strong group as Scotty’s can be beneficial to these children. He also insisted that Scotty’s Little Soldiers would be there for them all year and urged them to take “full advantage of it.” The Prince further concluded his message by reminding the children to carry the pride of their “mum or dad” and that they will never be forgotten.
