A new clip featuring Cillian Murphy and Margot Robbie surfaced on the internet. In the 4-second video, the Australian actress said “Perfect double billing Oppenheimer and Barbie”. To this, the Peaky Blinders star responded with “it was a good instinct”. This was the first sneak peek of their conversation on Variety’s Actor on Actor. After Barbie broke box-office records and Oppenheimer became the highest-grossing autobiography on its first day, these two biggest stars of 2023 finally faced each other.
Actors on Actors is a series of Variety-led interviews with the biggest stars of the year. These interviews discuss the craft, their careers, and much more. Besides these two, the outlet is all set to bring together many surprising matches like Natasha Lyonne and Melanie Lynskey and Jeremy Allen White and Jennifer Coolidge.
While both actors will soon reveal what this sneak peek was about, the Suicide Squad star showed her support for Murphy’s film long before the release.
The Barbie star bought a ticket for Oppenheimer
The clashing release dates of Barbie and Oppenheimer started a meme fest all over the internet. This eagerness gave birth to a trend called Barbenheimer, creating a cultural bridge between the fandoms of both films. Joining this trend, Margot Robbie also posed in front of the poster of the biographical drama holding a ticket in her hand. She and director Greta Gerwig followed in the footsteps of Tom Cruise, who previously expressed his excitement for Barbie.
