In the plethora of sitcoms that have enjoyed the unabashed attention of fans, Friends ranks very high if not the highest. The show to many of its viewers is an extension of themselves. This theory is further helped by the fact that it ran on television for ten long years. Given how fans only watched the show unfold through the screens and still felt a part of it, one cannot blame the actors who were in the show for still behaving like their titular characters. Especially if the character is everyone’s favorite one-liner King, Chandler Bing, and the actor is Matthew Perry.
More than a decade after the show ended, Perry has intentionally or unintentionally recreated one of the most iconic moments of Friends and Chandler Bing.

You can take the actor out of Friends but you cannot take the Friends out of the actor. This is clear through Courteney Cox’s Instagram posts. And this was further established as Perry walked into a Nike store in Los Angeles with a different outfit and walked out of it in a different one. It is unclear if the actor’s actions had any intentions behind them.

The actor was on a casual walk with a gray sweatshirt and blue sweatpants when he walked into a Nike store. However, Perry was clad in a black t-shirt and shorts when he walked out, making everyone let out a collective sigh of “Could he Be more Chandler Bing?”
Not only is the actor’s nonchalant way of walking in and out of an LA store in completely different outfits very reminiscent of his Friends character, but a scene from the show itself.

The borderline concerning ability to predict events of the future is more often than not attributed to the animated sitcom, The Simpsons, but it seems like Friends had it too. In one of the earlier seasons of the show, Season 3 Episode 2, The One Where No One’s Ready, the friends in Friends as the title suggests were not ready for an event at Ross’ medium. And this unfolds in Chandler Bing, predicting what Matthew Perry would go on to do a decade later.
The episode featured Chandler walking into the room wearing a full suit and saying, “Could I BE wearing any more clothes?” He then put on all of Joey’s clothes, layering them comically over his suit, as a way to seek revenge on Joey for hiding his underwear. A classic Chandler move that has been seamlessly recreated by Matthew Perry in 2023.
