While he has aced playing the boy-next-door, his pink attire from the Barbie sneak peek led to criticism from some fans. But an old interview of the actor has proved his comfort with accepting his feminine side.

The Notebook star trended on Twitter recently when a fan reposted his old interview. “When you are being mean to Ryan Gosling, this is whom you are being mean to bdw”, captioned the fan in defense of Gosling. It was a clap back against those who criticized the entertainer for accepting a pink-slathered role of Barbie’s husband and starring opposite Margot Robbie, who is a decade younger than him.

But fans are defending him by showing the old interview where he embraced his feminine side. He loves being a father to two daughters and admitted how he likes women more. According to DigitalSpy, when asked about his own femininity, the confident actor replied to ES magazine, “I’d say 49%, sometimes 47%, it depends on what day you catch me.” He was raised in a household with a mother and sister and now lives with his partner, Eva Mendes, and their daughters.
