Anime fans usually enjoy making comparisons between their favorite shows. However, occasional similarities are also welcomed with interest. The anime world has an enormous fan base but also has cutthroat high-pressure work for the makers. Voice actors usually end up working long hours for less pay unless they establish themselves through a successful show. Animes like Naruto, Demon Slayer, One Piece, etc are such top ones people aim to work for.

A fan on Twitter recently revealed how both Naruto and the Demons Slayer share the same voice actors. He made a side-by-side comparison of characters indicating their common voice actor. Considering the sheer amount of characters, not many even realize that their favorite characters from two different shows have the same voice actor.

One was surprised to know that Mizuka and Iruka had the same voice actors. While one is an antagonist, the other is a sympathetic sensei.

While there were those who felt like they have heard certain voices before, they remained unsure until this video.

It is perhaps difficult to gasp when two opposite characters turn out to have the same voice, changing the way we perceive them.

Akira Ishida gave voices to both Gaara and Akaza. Takahiro Sakurai voiced Giyu Tomioka and Sasori while Kazuhiko Inoue gave voice to Yoriichi Tsugikuni and Kakashi Hatake. Other examples were Kagaya Ubuyashiki and Namikaze Minato, Sakonji Urokodaki and Jiraiya, Iruka Umino, etc.

The makers usually hire voice actors on the basis of the characters. However, there are a few talents who can tweak their voices to suit different characters, even if on the same show. There are some actors who have voiced more than 500 characters throughout their careers. While auditions for the job are available, it is ultimately on the director to decide who gets in.
